The story is that the creepy music in Lavender Town caused kids to have headaches and commit suicide. While suicide is ridiculous, many people have gotten headaches from listening to the music too loud. Many people claim that the change in Lavender Town's environment and theme in the second pair of Pokemon games proves that something was wrong; however, if this were the case, then they would not have brought it back for the GBA remakes of the games.
